Yarina belongs to a group of drugs called oral contraceptive agents. They work by preventing ovulation and changing the uterine lining as well as the cervical mucous. This prevents the sperm from reaching the uterus and makes it harder for the feritlized egg to attach to the walls of the uterus. The unicity of Yarina consists in a progestin hormone that the drug contains it is called dropsirenon. The drug may be prescribed to women that have suffered from adverse effects related too other contraceptives.
